FALL OUT BOY EUROPE TOUR
'So Much For (Tour) Dust' didn't just hit the stage – it transformed it.
Fall Out Boy's 2023 Tour covered 16 major A-list arenas across Europe, including a double act at London’s O2.
Blending video provided by 80six with lighting, Pyro, confetti, bubbles, and the iconic inflatable head of Blitz the Doberman, it delivered a unique live concert experience with a dual-stage design that oscillated from day to night.
THE CHALLENGE
Directed by TAWBOX's Bronski, the transformative design boldly embraced theatricality to articulate the day and night passage, which mirrored the album’s themes.
Integrated by 80six and essential to the visual narrative was the circular screen centrepiece that transitioned from a moon to a sun image.
THE SOLUTION
80six’s video solutions for the mid-stage screen and the IMAGs hinged on a robust and touring-friendly LED product - ROE MC7H.
“The IMAGs were originally planned to be projections, but we switched to LED to match the US leg of the tour. It gave it a punchier, brighter look, transforming the arenas. Although the video elements didn’t dominate the stage this time, it augmented the show’s essence.”
Rob Wain - Head of Concert Touring at 80six.
Hippo Karst media servers and Black Magic cameras, PTZ cameras, and a Lipstick Cam complemented the technology stack provided by 80six.
